In 2001, the PEI Home Economics Association and
the UPEI Department of Family and Nutritional Sciences partnered with
HRDC to commission a Review of the Labour Market Status of Home
Economists on Prince Edward Island.

It's Turkey Time!
The PEI Home Economics Association, with the support of the Canadian
Home Economics Association Foundation, produced a 9 1/2 minute video
and an easy-to-read pamphlet, "It's Turkey Time. Make it Tasty. Keep
it Safe."
Copies
of the video are available throughout Prince Edward Island at the
Provincial Libraries, Department of Agriculture, Provincial Women's
Institute Office, and Family Resource Centres.
The brochures are distributed each Christmas with the over 2000 Turkey
Hampers given to Island families. They are also available to Island
grocery stores and turkey producers. Contact the PEIHEA to receive

The PEIHEA has
also produced some "Mommy Manuals". These are short helpful guides for
the young mother who is looking for ideas on time management, child
